Event Guidelines

Imagine an event that combines the excitement of American Idol, the unpredictability of The Price is Right, and the impact of a TED Talk. VoiceQuest Live is a platform designed to celebrate emerging speakers who are ready to share their transformative stories and ideas with the world.

The Selection Process

Participants will be chosen through a pre-event application process. To apply, complete the membership application and select "Participate in VoiceQuest Live", submit a 2-3 minute video showcasing your stage presence and speaking abilities. In your video, focus on the topic you would like to present at VoiceQuest Live. A panel of professional judges will review all submissions to identify individuals who are stage-ready and have a compelling message to share.

From these submissions, 10 exceptional applicants will be selected to speak at the event. However, there’s a twist: the names of the selected speakers will only be revealed during the event itself. When your name is called on stage, it’s your moment to shine!

Presentation Guidelines

Each selected speaker will have 6 minutes to captivate the audience. Your presentation should be motivational, inspiring, and centered on themes of personal or professional growth.

We ask that you avoid the following:

• Political Themes
• Religious Views or Advocacy
• Explicitly Controversial Topics (e.g., divisive social issues or topics that could polarize the audience)

Instead, focus on topics such as:

• Resilience
• Personal growth
• Lessons learned
• Overcoming adversity
• Celebrating uniqueness

The goal is to leave the audience feeling uplifted, motivated, and inspired by your message.

• Professional Headshot: All attendees (whether or not you are chosen to speak on stage) will receive a professional headshot taken at VoiceQuest LIVE Use it for your speaker profile, personal branding, or promotional materials.
  
  
• Participation in VoiceQuest LIVE: The chance to showcase your speaking talent in front of a live audience, professional judges, and peers. Take the stage and make your mark. (See Event Guidelines for selection process).
  
  
• Two Tickets to VoiceQuest LIVE: Receive two tickets to attend the VoiceQuest LIVE event on May 8, 2025, at the Lakewood Cultural Center.

Your membership to the VoiceQuest Agency is valid May 8, 2025 (VoiceQuest Live kicks it off) through December 31, 2025 and offers a comprehensive range of benefits to help you grow, connect, and succeed as a speaker.

Judging Criteria

VoiceQuest Live is proud to feature a prestigious panel of internationally recognized professional speakers, each with extensive experience on global stages and a deep understanding of what it takes to captivate an audience. These industry leaders bring a wealth of expertise and will evaluate each presentation based on the following criteria:

• Clarity of Message: Ability to communicate a clear, impactful message that resonates with the audience.
• Originality and Impact: Creativity of the topic and its power to inspire meaningful change or thought.
• Stage Presence: Poise, confidence, and charisma that draw the audience in and hold their attention.
• Audience Engagement: Skill in connecting with listeners, making the message memorable and relatable.
• Structure and Flow: Seamless progression of ideas, keeping the presentation engaging and well-paced within the 6-minute time frame.

Our panel’s insights and international expertise will make this an unforgettable experience, with invaluable feedback that can propel your speaking career forward.

the voting process

Encourage your friends and family to attend the event! The audience will have a chance to vote for their favorite speaker, contributing to the overall winner selection. The grand prize winner will receive:

• $1000 Cash Prize
• A Coaching Package: One-on-one sessions with our professional speaker judges, designed to advance your speaking career.
• Be featured on the home page of the VoiceQuest Agency Website.

Whether or not you’re chosen to speak at VoiceQuest Live, you’ll receive the annual membership fee for VoiceQuest at the 50% off Founding Member rate for LIFE. All applicants will also receive a professional headshot the night of the event, podcast guest opportunities, and free speaker resources.
